Katara? Korra? Katara? Korra? Katara?
My next costume will be - Korra
Wow, when was the last time I did a costume that wasn't Star-Wars related?
Still have one of those Royal Guard commissions and a couple of smaller things to do, but work on Korra should provide a nice little project to work on in-between.
Not sure whether to do her season 1 or season 2 outfit, the only real difference between the two is a different top and arm-bands, so I may very well just end up doing both. It'll be nice to have at least 1 version done by the end of the year to get some nice on-location shots at a local beach over the summer!
Now to track down all the right fabric!

New Social Media Accounts
So it's been a while since I've done anything major here, but I've been busy elsewhere setting up new social media accounts to get my work showcased (and more frequently than things happen on here!)
I'd like to invite you to follow me on the new pages where I am going by the name 'LaRella' (You'll understand why if you look at my Facebook banner!)

Next Journey - Lara Croft
There are a few costumes I've said I'm doing over the past couple of years but have never quite got around to doing. I'm happy to say that I'm currently working on a costume that will definitely be seen through to the very end!
That costume, as you may have figured from my last couple of photos (and the title of this post) is a Lara Croft outfit (specifically from the 2013 'Reborn' game).
I like to challenge myself with each costume that I do, and although at first this costume looks quite simple (a couple of tank tops, cargo pants, and an assortment of weapons and props), there is a lot more to it than appears. The biggest challenge for me
Please Vote for Me!
This year I decided to enter my Aayla Secura costume in the Replica Prop Forum's Halloween Costume contest for 2012!
Voting isn't open yet (should be within the next 24 hours), but when it does I'll really appreciate it if you could vote for me! ^-^

I want a Steampunk outfit
I've always thought Steampunk is cool, but never really put much thought into an outfit for myself. Guess it's because I'm used to recreating existing costumes and not doing originals, but then that's the fun and beauty of designing your own outfit - you can design it however you like and no one will critique you if details are inaccurate because there's nothing to base their critiques off of. Been looking at and saving lots of images, watch this space ;)
Now that Royal guard commissions are done, I can focus on my own costumes again, which means I can do some solid work on Korra. I've got various bits and pieces, will keep building up suppl
